About Anthracite Off-Road Adventure Area

AOAA is an off-roaders’ paradise located on 8,500 acres and over 200 miles of trails in Coal Township, Pennsylvania. The OHV park has a variety of trails, from beginner to extreme challenges, and it has been recognized as one of the top 10 off-road destinations in the country. Situated in the heart of central Pennsylvania coal country, AOAA takes its name from the anthracite deposits that once filled the area.

While AOAA does not offer onsite lodging, there is a nearby trailhead campground and the surrounding area has many accommodations, dining options, and attractions to explore. At just over an hour’s drive north of the Pennsylvania State Capital of Harrisburg and 2.5 hours northwest of Philadelphia, AOAA is a convenient getaway for off-road enthusiasts in the Mid-Atlantic region.
